PrimeTime Players blowout Kangaroos in Opener

2/18/2023 Tocca Falls GA - The PrimeTime Players opened up the ECBL 2023 season with a visit with new league member the Georgia Kangaroos. The Kangaroos came over from the UBA, after having also been in the MB for a season, and also played as a Independent Minor League team playing teams in there surrounding region. 

  The PrimeTime Players opened the game on a quick 10-0 run and the teams played even through the first quarter after that with PrimeTime Players taking a 39-29 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter. The second quarter Sean Barnette and Chris Moore combined for 25 points as PrimeTime scored 48 total points in the second quarter to push the lead at halftime to 87-44. The second half started with Kerigan Farley setting everyone up with easy basket after easy basket after a 12 assist first half as he set his sights on trying to break the leagues assist record in his 1st ECBL start. In the 3rd quarter Odell Turner, Cornellius Reynolds, and PJ Heath dominated the boards on both ends of the court and Farley added another 8 assists in the quarter with PrimeTime going into the final quarter with a 131-71 lead. The fourth quarter was wide open with neither team playing defense as the teams combined for 97 points in the quarter. Cornellius Reynolds had 12 in the fourth and Van Turner scored 23 of his 39pts including back to back three pointers on assists from Kerigan Farley to end the game as Farley set the ECBL record with 27 total assists and PrimeTime set the scoring record with 185pts. PrimeTime had 5 players with at least 26pts led by Chris Moore with  41pts, Van Turner 39pts, Sean Barnette 36, Cornellius Reynolds 30pts, and Odell Turner 26pts. PJ Heath led all rebounders with 15 rebounds including 7 offensive.
